October 19, 2010 - Sturmer White with an eight pounder. Hot and eager to eat, this fish quickly put Sturmer on the reel.October 23, 2010 - Carter Lee with one of his first stripers on a fly. This fish went nine pounds and was matched by another the same size and numerous smaller fish. October 28, 2010 - Ron Kenyon with a feisty five pounder. Again, this fish was strong enough to put Ron, using an eight weight, on the reel.
October 29, 2010 - Dave Gambetta with a strong four pounder. Although we couldn't find any bigger fish, we made up for it in numbers with over 60 fish boated.November 3, 2010 - David Lee with a 25 incher. David stuck well over 30 fish this day but this is the biggest fish we could find. More than a few other good fish were in the mix.November 4, 2010 - Peter Risse with his second striper on a fly. The fish were not on the feed this day but Peter still ended up catching over ten fish, two of them topwater. A bonus was a small LMB.
November 6, 2010 - Lowell Gossell managed to pick  up this hot little four pounder that managed to put him on the reel along with another dozen fish before the wind blew us off the water and over to the SugarBarge for Striperfest.November 9, 2010 -- Marty Kjelson from the Delta Fly Fishers had a banner day on the delta landing more than forty fish, but most were in the 16-19 inch range. This 22 inchers was the best we could find all day.November 9, 2010 -- Not to  be outdone, John Keagy, Marty's partner caught a similar 22 incher on the next pass through this particualr "Sweet spot" on the San Joaquin.
November  12, 2010 -- Gary Smart caught this 20 incher along with about a dozen other stripers. This was Gary's first day ever fly fishing. It took me three outings to catch my first fish. I'm not sure if Gary is just smarter or just better looking to a fish.November 12, 2010 -- Mike Pailliot checks out this striper, his first fish on a fly. I warned him that fly fishing can become addicting but he obviously paid no attention since he asked me to write a list of what he needed to get started. Fishing for Gary and Mike was slow but they still managed over 18 fish between them. November 14, 2010 -- Cesar Escudero nailed this nine pounder early in the day. The fish didn't hesitate to gobble down Cesar's chartreuse over white clouser. This fish was a cookie cutter match to one Cesar caught last year about the same date.
November 14, 2010 -- Cesar's friend Lee, not to be outdone by his partner, ended up with the most fish that day, if not the largest (and a steak dinner for his efforts). This twenty incher was followed by another nine fish, most close in size to this one.November 14, 2010 -- It was a bonus day for Cesar. Not only did he land the nine pound striper pictured in the previous row but stuck this four pound LMB later in the day. The fish held its ground well enough in the initial strike that Cesar thought he was snagged until the snag started swimming away.November 16, 2010 -- Sturmer White, being the good host, caught this little 20 incher as his biggest fish while rooting on his friend Sam, on his first striper outing in many, many years. Sam obliged Sturmer by catching both the largest fish and a nice largemouth as well.
.November 16, 2010 -- Sturmer's friend Sam Pettinato didn't disappoint, landing this nine pounder early in the day. While Sam is basically a trout fisherman, he handled  the rod well in bringing this fish to the boat.November 16, 2010 -- Not wanting to disappoint Sturmer, Sam also caught this three pound largemouth. While Sturmer said he appreciated the effort, at the same time, he was very busy changing flies, looking for the one with enough mojo to catch up with his fishing partner.November 18, 2010 -- Daniel Tjoa picked this 5 pounder and another eleven or so fish. The day started out tough with strong winds but they laid down nicely after lunch for the remainder of the day.
November 19, 2010 -- Max Sepulveda put this feisty little four pounder in the boat early in the day. This was Max's first time on the delta but he managed to boat about 20 fish, this one the biggest. December 10, 2010 - After a few warm winter storms warmed the Delta back up from an early winter, I went fishing to see if the fish would respond to the warming water. I ended up with a dozen fish, the largest this eight pounder.December 12, 2010 - Drew McLaughlin's first striper on a fly. Drew and his fishing partner Ayman just started fly fishing last June. Both caught their first fly caught stripers, even though it was a very slow fishing day.

May 22, 2011 -- Rod Kihara with a 20 pounder caught on his last cast. This fish took off for the center of the river. with us in pursuit. A great end to a good season.
